Report of Findings
On June 13, 2019, Licensing received a complaint alleging concerns related to medication, and care and supervision. The allegations included the following details:
- Medication was not administered as needed.
- An injury prevention strategy was not implemented.

All areas of the complaint were thoroughly investigated. Evidence was received and reviewed from interviews, person in care records, facility policies and procedures, and inspection.

The following contraventions were determined:
- RCR - Section 61 Self monitoring of community care facility
- RCR - Section 68 (4) Medication safety and advisory committee
- RCR - Section 81 (4)(b)(i) Care plan needed if more than 30 day stay
- RCR - Section 89 (1) Record of complaints and compliance

The Licensee is required to submit a corrective action plan. Licensing will review the corrective action plan and ensure the contraventions are addressed.

Observation: A care plan was not updated.
