Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 2-3 crates of milk were again observed in the broken upright cooler, along with a bucket of whipped cream. At last inspection, manager was directed to keep all perishable items out of this cooler until fixed and reinspected. Technician has not yet fixed the cooler, and foods were measured at 5.5 - 6.5 C internal temperature during inspection.
Corrective Action(s): Moved to working coolers and/or processed into ice cream during inspection. Do not place any perishable items into this cooler until it has been reinspected by a health officer, and you have received written approval to use the cooler. Failure to comply will result in the issuance of a correction order and potential ticket penalties.

Comments

*No opened cans observed during inspection.
*Operator has purchased additional reusable lids for dry goods containers.
*Lemon-scented bleach for sanitizer has been replaced with plain bleach.
*Manager states he has registered for Food Safe Level 1. Ensure a copy of the completion certificate is forwarded to the health unit, once received.
*Washroom paper towel dispenser has been fixed.
*Discussed production of kulfi on site. Metal (brazed) moulds currently on site are not approved for use at this time - ensure these are removed from the premises by tomorrow (22nd July 2017). Moulds must be made of smooth, easily-cleanable and non-toxic material that is designed for food contact use. Discussed requirement for dairy processing license if operator wishes to start off-site retail sales of kulfi produced at this location. Copy of legislation provided. Ensure kulfi products are sold only at this location, or at catered events put on by this facility.
