Observation: Spider webs and dust noted in the corner of the kitchen underneath a table and next to the unused cooler.
Corrective Action(s): Throughly clean / vacuum spider webs and maintain those areas in good sanitary condition.

311 - Premises not maintained as per approved plans [s. 6(1)(b)]
Observation: 1. Plastic wall cover over hand wash station is beginning to peel off. Paint over the wall cover is starting to degrade.
2. Ceiling area above the hand wash station patched with cardboard.
Corrective Action(s): 1. Repair or affix the wall cover so that the material around the hand wash sink is smooth, free of cracks, and easily cleanable.
2. Cardboard should be removed and properly re-patched and re-painted.

Comments

Routine inspection conducted. Facility generally well maintained and operated. The following observations were made at time of inspection:

1. Temperatures
- Domestic stand-up cooler at 3C
- Domestic freezer compartment at -18C
- Stand-up freezer at -18C
- Temperature logs maintained and up-to-date when facility is operational

2. Hygiene and Sanitizing
- Hand wash station adequately stocked with hot/cold running water, liquid soap, and single-use paper towels
- 3 compartment sink well organized and ready for use for washing and rinsing
- Low-temperature dishwasher (only has sanitizing cycle) releases chlorine residual at 50 ppm
- Utensils, plates, knives stored in sanitary condition inside drawers
- Deli slicer stored in good sanitary condition
- Clean and dirty sections of the dishpit well laid out

3. Storage Practices
- Food products are all stored at least 6" off the floor
- Rice and dry goods are stored inside plastic containers with tight-fitting lids
- Food products inside of cooler and freezers are in plastic containers with lids
- Chemicals stored separately from food products
- Shelving generally maintained in good sanitary condition. Cabinets in facility are well organized

4. Pest Control
- No evidence of recent pest activity noted at time of inspection

5. Administrative
- Director on-site has FoodSafe 1 (Expiry: May 7, 2024)
