Observation:
1. Open bag of flour found in dry storage area. This is an ongoing issue.
2. Several food containers are uncovered in the stand-up freezer. This is an ongoing issue.
Corrective Action(s):
1. Get pest-proof containers with lids to place left over flour into the container. To be corrected immediately.
2. Place food-grade covers/lids on all containers that are uncovered. To be corrected immediately.

306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation:
No cleaning has been done since last follow-up inspection.
The following areas need sanitation improvement immediately:
1. Floors throughout facility, especially corners between floor and wall.
2. Behind chest freezer.
3. Hard to reach areas.
4. Underneath and behind all equipment.
Corrective Action(s):
Clean all areas listed above. To be corrected by January 2, 2018.

Observation:
Door seal of walk-in cooler is deteriorating and some areas are completely apart. The door seal has still not been replaced/repaired since the last follow-up inspection.
Corrective Action(s):
Replace door seal of walk-in cooler to ensure adequate temperature is maintained. To be corrected by January 2, 2018.

Observation:
1. Light fixture above chest freezer still does not have a cover even after violation coded in routine inspection and previous follow-up inspection.
2. Exposed wood present on prep table siding.
Corrective Action(s):
1. Place a shatter proof cover on the light fixture to prevent a physical injury/contamination. To be corrected by January 2, 2018.
2. Seal exposed wood. To be corrected by January 2, 2018.

IN ORDER TO OPERATE THE FOOD PREMISES, IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE BC FOOD PREMISES REGULATION IS FOLLOWED. REPEATED VIOLATIONS FOR WHAT IS WRITTEN ON THE CORRECTION ORDER WILL LEAD TO FURTHER ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS INCLUDING AN IMMEDIATE VIOLATION TICKET AND CLOSURE ORDER.

REVIEW THE FOOD SAFETY PLAN AND SANITATION PLAN WITH ALL STAFF. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AS FOOD HANDLERS TO ENSURE FOOD IS HANDLED AND PREPARED SAFELY AND IN A SANITARY MANNER TO PREVENT A POTENTIAL FOODBORNE ILLNESS OUTBREAK.
