Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were reviewed for compliance

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11020 - CCLR s.13(2) - A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
Observation: the following areas of the physical facility are in poor repair, the sink in the girls bathroom has three areas of rust , please ensure the sink is repaired or replaced, there is a cupboard door in the K-grade 1 class the hinge is broken a work order has been placed for repair, no date has been set for repair, the sink in room 26, drips constantly, work order has been placed
Corrective Action(s): please ensure the above coded items have been replaced or repaired, a plan may be submitted as to the time frame expected for repairs
