Observation: Observed ants next to the pillar in front of the ice cream chest freezers. Some signs of rodent activity (chewed bits and droppings) observed along the wall under the dry storage shelf with cereals, dry pasta and sugar. Droppings also observed under the cashier table where extra bags are stored.
Corrective Action(s): Remove droppings, clean up signs of activity and continue to monitor these areas. Obtain traps for ants.

A pest control company contract is recommended for the summer months, at least once a month visits.

Routine

Food store selling all whole fruits/veg, prepackaged goods, baked goods purchased from approved sources, and self-serve coffee.

> Running hot and cold water is available.
> Handwash station had liquid soap.
> 2 compartment sink present for warewashing of coffee equipment. Equipment is submerged in bleach solution for at least 2 minutes.
> All coolers measured 4C or colder.
> All freezers meausred -18C or colder.
> All foods are stored above the ground and protected from contamination.

Note: look into making sure the front door is self-closing. Front door gap is a potential pest entry point.
