Observation: Hot running water was not available for sanitary maintenance and it was not available at the 2-compartment sink units at the time of inspection.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure repairs are made to enable access to hot running water at each sink and dishwasher. Public Health Act Closure Order was issued at the time of inspection.

Observation: Hot running water was not available at the handsinks at the time of inspection.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure repairs are made to enable hot running water is available at each handsink to enable proper handwashing. Staff informed that a technician is scheduled to arrive tomorrow to replace a part for the hot water tank. Public Health Act Closure Order was issued.

Comments

Operator informed that they have been placing veggie toppings in the prep. cooler (above 4 degrees C) during the lunch rush only. Operator is aware to time-stamp cold potentially hazardous food held above 4 degrees C for 4 hours maximum prior to discarding it until the cooler can be fixed to 4 degrees C or less.
Other refrigeration units were at or below 4 degrees C.
Freezer unit temperatures were satisfactory.

Public Health Act Closure Order was issued due to contravention of sections 4(1)(f), 17(3), and 21(4) under the Food Premises Regulation. Food service establishment must remain closed until all the conditions on this Closure Order are met.
