Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were reviewed for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated June 11, 2019 there were 8 children and 2 staff present. At this inspection no contraventions were identified.
As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.
During inspection Licensing reminded the Licensee of resources that were given to them during the last routine inspection regarding: active supervision, flushing water for 5 minutes every morning due to possible lead in pipes, and, how to call in reportable incidents.
During inspection Licensing observed one group of children engaged in free play with music and dancing taking place, then the second group, who had been out for a walk in the community, arrived and more free play took place. Licensing observed staff interacting with children, at their level, while they were engaged in activities as well as giving warnings before transitions.
