Introduction

An unscheduled follow up inspection was conducted to inspect previously coded violations during the routine inspection dated December 4th, 2019. Only areas that were previously noted to be in contravention were inspected for compliance today.

Observed Violations
RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19060 - CCLR s.57(1)(a)(b)(c) - A licensee must keep current records for each child showing (a) the information set out in subsection (2), (b) if applicable, the information and agreements set out in subsections (2.1) and (2.2), and (c) the consents referred to in subsection (3).
Observation: Licensing reviewed all children's records and noted the following: one care card number was missing from one file, which was coded during the previous routine inspection. Additionally, one child currently attending care did not have a record of required information at the facility.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure all children have current records containing all required information set out in section 57 subsection (2), if applicable the information and agreements set out in subsection (2.1) and (2.2), and the contents referred to in subsection (3) of the Child Care Licensing Regulation.

Comments

At this inspection dated January 8th, 2020, there were 5 children and 1 staff present. At this inspection, the above noted contravention was identified.
The licensee is to correct the contravention by the date provided, and provide a written response to licensing by January 13, 2020 indicating the steps that have been taken to address the noted violation.
