Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act(CCALA) and the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DoLSoP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.
Observed Violations
RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19080 - CCLR s.57(2)(b) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (b) date of enrolment in the community care facility.
Observation: A random selection of children's files were reviewed. Out of the three reviewed, one did not have a date of enrolment.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure a record showing date of enrolment is on file.

Summary of Inspection:
At the inspection dated February 16, 2022 there were 5 children in care with the Licensee.
At this inspection the above noted contraventions were identified.
Action required by the licensee includes providing a written response by February 23, 2022 .
Actions required by Licensing include reviewing the written response.

This report was written off site and a copy of both the report and Risk Assessment was emailed to the facility.
