Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted on May 9, 2023 to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All care categories were reviewed for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES: 13020 - CCLR s.22(1)(b) - A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.
Observation: Upon inspection there was no food in the facilities emergency supply kit.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure the emergency plan has items to mitigate and respond to an emergency.

Comments

At the inspection dated May 9,2023 there were 4 children and 2 staff present. At this inspection the above noted contravention was identified. The Licensee will provide Licensing with a written response.Licensing will review the response. As part of this Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment was completed and a copy was provided.

Valid CRC's are available, reviewed expiry dates with the Licensee.
