302 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1) Coffee steaming attachment is wiped with a cloth after each use and no sanitizing step is carried out. Sanitizer spray bottle had difficulty spraying solution and the solution in the nozzle had no detectable chlorine. This is a continuing violation.
2) Staff member stated the blenders are sanitized at the end of the night and not throughout the day. This is a continuing violation.
Corrective Action(s): 1) Coffee steaming attachment must be sanitized after each use to prevent the growth of pathogens and contamination of foods.
2) Blender must be sanitized at least every 2 hours to prevent the growth of pathogens. Ensure sanitizer is prepared in the 3-compartment to facilitate staff sanitizing the blender after each use or within 2 hours, if used. Staff prepared 200ppm bleach sanitizer at the time of inspection to sanitize the blender container after each use.

Observation: Operator had 24 large plastic frozen fruit bags that were washed and dried and stored away.
Corrective Action(s): Since use pages are intended for one time use and cannot be cleaned and sanitized properly after each use.

310 - Single use containers & utensils are used more than once [s. 20]
Observation: Frozen portion of fruits (mangos) were found to have other food residues in the bags (banana and a red fruit).
Corrective Action(s): Since use bags are intended for single use and cannot be reused. Immediately discontinue the practice of reusing single use bags.

502 - In operator’s absence, no staff on duty has FOODSAFE Level 1 or equivalent [s. 10(2)]
Observation: Staff member on-site did not have FOODSAFE Level 1 or equivalent training. Staff member has been working for approximately two months and has registered for the course.
Corrective Action(s): While in operation, at least one staff member must have FOODSAFE Level 1 or equivalent training. Staff must either be properly trained or staff must be scheduled accordingly. Future incidences of operating without FOODSAFE Level 1 or equivalent trained staff will result in the issuance of a Violation Ticket.
