Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1) Ice scoops in bar area observed laying in ice.
2) Old pesticide strip containing dichlorvos observed above chest freezer near walk in cooler.
Corrective Action(s): 1) Ice scoops (particularly handles) must be kept out of ice to prevent contamination of ice.
2) Strips with dichlorvos are intended for use in uninhabited areas and can be harmful to human health if exposed for longer periods of time. Strip discarded during inspection.

306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: 1) Wire rack opposite the dishwasher had an accumulation of dust/grease around wires.
2) Dust observed around video surveillance camera and wire leading up to it above toaster.
3) Several cloths used for wiping counter tops and other food areas were dry and only one stored in sanitizer. Staff stated they are rotated out every four hours.
Corrective Action(s): 1) Clean wire rack removing dirt and grease as this area is used to store utensils and other food contact surfaces
2) Clean area of dust
3) Staff should be keeping these in sanitizer buckets wherever possible to keep bacterial counts in cloths as low as possible and double as a sanitizing step for counter tops.
