209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
Observation: 1) Rice scoop stored in a blue mug with water but build up is noted around the inside of the mug. 2) Several food items including sauces, raw meats and ready to eat food items were stored in the undercounter cooler without cover. Lunch rush is over (past 3pm).
Corrective Action(s): 1) Please clean any food containers incuding this mug daily. New container was switched. 2) Ensure all food items are properly covered when not in use, especially after lunch rush.

Observation: Old mice droppings observed behind red sofa adjacent to the pop cooler.
Corrective Action(s): Please remove noted droppings, clean and sanitize the area.

306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: 1) Grease and build up noted in all door handles and undercounter coolers (shelves, walls and doors). 2) Liquid splash noted around wall and ice bin in the bar. 3) Dust and debris found underneath the bar mat storing glasses. 4) Build up noted around server station where hot water dispenser and coffee machine are stored.
Corrective Action(s): Please do a deep clean on ALL noted areas by follow up inspection.

307 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not of suitable design/material [s. 16; s. 19]
Observation: Pieces of metal were installed on top of worn out wood surface on the hot holding unit, covering grease underneath. Plastic on the side of the stainless steel fridge is still present, with food splashes present.
Corrective Action(s): This repair is not sufficient, please replace the hot holding unit so all parts of the new unit is cleanable, smooth and non absorbent. To be completed in 3 weeks. Remove the plastic and properly clean the side of the fridge.
