The facility is used for instructing KPU Brewing Technology program and the production of beer for limited sales to the public.
Standard operating procedures ( SOPs) are in place for every cleaning task.

All brew tanks and fermentation tanks are cleaned in place using the following process:
-Cleaning with hot water and caustic solution.
-Rinsing several times with water
-Rinsing with CIP Acid ( Phosphoric and Nitric Acid)
-Rinsing with water
-Sanitizing with Perox-E-Plus ( Peracetic Acid) as final step.
All chemical agents are stored in a separate room
Floors, walls and ceiling surfaces are easy to clean and maintained in good repair
Storage and milling of grains is done in a separate designated dry storage room.
Walk-in cooler < 2 degrees C.
Beer dispensing spouts are cleaned using detergent and water and sanitized using 3:1000 solution of peracetic acid.
Hand wash station supplied with liquid soap and paper towels.
General sanitation is very good.
No signs of pest(s) noted at the time of inspection.
