Comments

At this inspection dated July 6, 2020 there were 3 staff and 5 children present. There were no contraventions identified during this inspection. As part of this routine inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.

Licensing reviewed with the staff their cleaning and sanitization procedures and the implementation of the facility's sick policy. The following resource was provided to and reviewed with the Licensee: Fraser Health Resource Package for Childcare Facilities COVID 19 Prevention and WorkSafe BC Child Care: Protocols for returning to operation. Licensing discussed with staff that WorkSafe BC is requiring all child care facilities to develop a safety plan and to post it within the facility as the Licensee was not aware of this requirement.

During the inspection Licensing noted the Licensee has blocked the second exit from the outdoor play area with a storage shed. Licensing consulted with the Burnaby Fire Department about this issue and there is no requirement to have two exits from the outdoor play area for this facility therefore Licensing has no issue with the placement of the shed.

This inspection report was reviewed with the Licensee during the inspection. This report and the Facility Risk Assessment Tool was completed off site (time spent: .25 hours) and a copy of these documents were sent to the Licensee.
