Observation:
Observed rodent droppings under and between pallets, and under coffee machines.
Corrective Action(s):
The following actions MUST be taken to rid of the rodents:

2) Pallets shall be placed at least 6" away from all walls to discourage rodent activity.
3) Hire a professional pest control company to rid of the rodents, using mechanical means only. Complete and follow all recommendations made by the pest technician. Email our office the reports provided by the pest company to lynda.quan@fraserhealth.ca.
4) Block all openings or holes that are 1/4" of larger with metal or steel wool, or install door guards at the base of doors. Observed openings at the bottom of the back door and around the loading doors.
5) Increase the cleaning frequency of the warehouse floor.
6) Store all items (even coffee machines) at least 6" off the floor for easier cleaning of the floor and to prevent areas where rodents will harbor due to lack of movement of items.

306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation:

1) Immediately start moving pallets away from walls and sweeping and moping the floor to remove the dust and debris, and place the pallet back. This shall be done on a regular basis, especially when the pallet is empty.
2) Immediately mop the floor of the coffee machine repair area with hot water, soap and bleach to remove food debris and stains. The mat shall also be washed and cleaned. This shall be done on a regular basis (at least once a week or even daily).
3) Immediately wash the interior walls and doors of the coolers with hot water, soap, and bleach to remove all the debris. This shall be done on a weekly basis.
