Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance. A Covid-19 Risk screening assessment was completed with the facility prior to this inspection.

Observed Violations

No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated December 5, 2021 there were 8 children and 3 staff present. At this inspection there were no contraventions identified. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool will be completed and a copy will be provided. The following education/recommendations were provided: · Staff office to be inaccessible to children at all times · Have a system of recording verification of staff character references The following resources were provided: · Licensing Officer’s business card · Child Care Facilities Response to COVID-19 · Reportable Incident Bulletin · Reportable Incident forms The inspection report was written off-site – details were reviewed with the Manager prior to writing the report. A copy of the inspection report was provided via email to the manager on January 6, 2022.
