Observation: No sanitizer solution was available on site. Staff demonstrated the 3-compartment sink dishwashing method and stated that no sanitizing step is being conducted after washing dishes/scoops.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure that all equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are properly washed and sanitized. Use an approved food grade sanitizer to sanitize the dishes/utensils after washing them. Ensure that staff follows proper 3-compartment sink dishwashing method - wash, rinse & sanitize.

Comments

Routine inspection conducted at the mill and the following observations were made:

- Front area is used for selling prepackaged food products and back area is used for milling/grinding.
- Separate mill machines are designated for flour, spices and gluten free.
- Compressed air is being used to separate mill stones.
- Sieving machine is used for sieving and removing any stones present in wheat grains prior to grinding.
- Flour is packaged directly from the mill machine to bags.
- Repackaging is done in small bags for food items to be sold in the store.
- Storage area was maintained in sanitary condition.
- Food products were stored at least 6" off the floor.
- 3 compartment sink available on site. See violation above.
- No visible sign of pest noted at the time of inspection.
- Certified pest control company does routine checks at the facility.
- Washroom was available for staff and maintained in sanitary condition.

Note - A follow-up inspection will be conducted to ensure compliance.
