302 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Bleach sanitizer available in spray bottles greater than 200 ppm. When tested, the test strip was bleached white. Bleach sanitizer was stored in re-used chemical spray bottles not intended for food (Carpet cleaner, and all purpose cleaner).
Corrective Action(s): Re-used spray bottles were discarded. A new chlorine mixture was made. Ensure bleach sanitizer is available at all times in preparations areas no greater than 200 ppm. Operator was shown how to make a 100 ppm bleach mixture of 1 tsp of bleach to one litre of water. Ensure all food contact surfaces are cleaned with 100 ppm of chlorine mixture.

Observation: 1. Raw ground beef stored in stand-up cooler observed with no cover.
2. Single-use chemical bottles are being used to store chlorine solution for sanitizing food contact surfaces.
Corrective Action(s): 1. Ensure all food not in the process of cooling is covered to prevent contamination.
2. Ensure chlorine sanitizer is not stored in re-used chemical containers not intended for food to prevent chemical contamination.

Observation: Various food debris observed on floor under shelving in the storage area by the back door.
Corrective Action(s): Remove and clean floor of food debris to prevent the attraction of pests.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Bleach sanitizer solution stored in re-used chemical spray bottles not intended for food contact surfaces (Carpet cleaner and all purpose cleaner). Sanitizer solution was not labeled as sanitizer.
Corrective Action(s): Re-used chemical spray bottles were discarded. Ensure bleach sanitizer solution is stored in spray bottles that are free from chemical contamination. Do not re-use chemical bottles. Ensure all chemicals are properly labeled. Staff should not be using labeled chemicals that are not intended for sanitizing food contact surfaces.

Observation: 1. Torn floor tiles observed throughout the premises.
2. Missing light shield in kitchen area.
