Routine check of the conference / meeting room kitchen. Kitchen not in use during the inspection.
Kitchen is usually rented out to private groups. Any events using this kitchen for food for the public may require a temporary food permit from Fraser Health.
Paid caterers must have a valid food permit. Call if you have questions.
Fridge is at 4 C/ 40 F or colder - good. Thermometer is available.
Freezer is keeping food at - 18 C or colder.
Hand sink has hot/cold water, liquid soap, and paper towels (on wall behind door) - good.
Commercial dishwasher has a hot water sanitizing rinse (160 F/ 71 C+ measured inside of the machine & 180 F+ shown on the gauge) - good.
***Ensure that detergent is being used in the dishwasher (plastic tube from detergent container leading to the dishwasher may not be automatically feeding detergent to the machine).
No evidence of pests. Kitchen is well-maintained.
