Introduction

An unscheduled routine/ focused inspection was conducted. All newly licensed facilities in Fraser Health receive one routine and one follow up-inspection to ensure they are maintaining compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of L

Observed Violations
LICENSING: 10050 - CCLR s.11(1) - A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility both the licence, including any terms or conditions of the licence, and the name of the manager.
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): managers name not posted

PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11020 - CCLR s.13(2) - A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
Observation: the rear ramp has a hole in it the manager is aware and has informed the school principal for it to be repaired currently there is a pylon over the hole, to ensure children avoid the hole.
Corrective Action(s): please ensure the hole is repaired and provide a written plan to CCFL as to the timeline

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES: 13050 - CCLR s.56(1)(c) - A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment].
Observation: fire drill for Feb 2023 not conducted
Corrective Action(s): please ensure fire drills are conducted on a monthly basis and documented

Comments

At the inspection there were fourteen children and four staff present. At this inspection the above noted contraventions were identified. Licensing conducted a an inspection of the entire facility. The Manager will provide a written response to the Licensing Officer by April 20, 2023 as to the plan of actionto bring the facility into compliance. The Licensing Officer will review the response. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.
