Introduction
An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care & Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DOLSP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.
Comments
At the inspection dated December 1, 2021 there were five children and one staff present. Licensing conducted a walk-through of the entire facility. There were no contraventions identified at this inspection.
The following were discussed with the manager:
· Storage of toys and equipment in a way that does not pose a risk of items falling over children in an event of an earthquake.
· Licensee is considering changing the gate in the backyard if the wood on the chain-link gate starts to show disrepair.
· Discussed the recent changes to the CCLR regarding the addition of service type school-age care on school grounds.
The inspection report was written off-site – details were reviewed with the Manager prior to writing the report. A copy of the routine inspection report and risk assessment sent to manager via email on December 1, 2021.
