Introduction

A scheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DOLSOP). The following areas were reviewed for compliance: Physical Facility, Hygiene & Communicable Disease Control, and Policies & Procedures.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated of April 17, 2020 there were no children present. At this inspection no contraventions were identified. Therefore a written response is not required. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed. This inspection report was completed off site and emailed along with the Risk Assessment to the facility on the same day.
The following education/recommendations were provided in regards to:
Cleaning and Sanitizing
Health & Hygiene Practices
Social Distancing
Precautions and Practices for Sick Children
Food and Nutrition Practices
Sunscreen: safe and hygienic sunscreen application must be practiced with children to avoid any cross contamination and spreading germs

LO discussed with the Licensee to monitor and address the following items:
Small damage on the wooden play kitchen doors
Regularly monitor and maintain proper cleaning and sanitization for carpeted floor and soft and porous toys and equipment
