Introduction

Community Care Facilities Licensing (CCFL) inspected all care categories during an unscheduled routine inspection to assess compliance w/:
• the Community Care & Assisted Living Act
• the Child Care Licensing Regulation
• relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practices

Contraventions

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
STAFFING: 12190 - CCLR s.22(2)(b) - A licensee must ensure that each employee (b) practices implementing the fire drill system at least once each month.
Observation: Repeat violation from FIR #CGEE:
- AZUQ3E (18/Jun/2018)
- C42VCC (15/Jun/2021)
The last fire drill system was last practiced in May/2023 (the facility was closed Jul-Aug/2023).
Corrective Action(s): The fire drill system must be practiced monthly.

RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19070 - CCLR s.57(2)(a) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.
Observation: Repeat violation from FIR #CGEE-CR8LY7 (24/Apr/2023): CCFL reviewed 6 children's files & found that 2 lacked their immunization status.
Corrective Action(s): All requirements of s. 57(2) must be obtained by children's 1st day of care.
