220 - Non critical single use items are not discarded after use Observation: . 1) Used nail files and sanding blocks in drawers of all work stations. 2) Staff are using one application stick for multiple wax strips Corrective Action(s): . 1) These items are to be discarded after each use. 2) Current pots of potentially contaminated wax to be discarded and staff reminded to ensure that they do not put ANY used applicator stick back into ANY pot of wax. Violation Score: 9 230 - Products / instruments not protected from contamination Observation: Unwrapped nippers and clippers kept in workstation drawers with used nail files and sanding blocks. Corrective Action(s): All semi-critical items such as nippers must be kept in a secure location protected from contamination at all times. All potentially contaminated semi-critical items are to be re-sanitized and stored in a secure location until use.
