Report of Findings
On June 23, 2023, Licensing received concerns regarding Care & Supervision, Licensing & Programming.

The complainant provided the following details:
-First Aid not initiated when required
-Supervision concerns
-Lack of transparency in how an injury occurred
-Inadequate behavioural guidance
-Manager joins the floor to meet ratio when Licensing is on site
-Staff told to be unthruthful about incident
-Staff doctored minor incident log book/communication book
-No curriculum administered within the facility

All areas of the complaint were fully investigated. Evidence was obtained through a facility inspection, a review of facility documents and interviews.

Licensing determined the following contraventions:
-Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA) section 7(1)(b)(i)
-Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) section 55(2)(a) Notification of MHO - within 24 hours

Observation: Licensee did not notify the licensing officer within 24 hours that a child was involved in or may have been involved in a reportable incident as described in Schedule H as required.
