Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Sanitizer bottles in back produce area contained less than 200 ppm quats (0 to 100 ppm).
Corrective Action(s): Sanitizer bottles emptied and refilled at dispenser, then re-tested at 200 ppm quats. Ensure sanitizer is maintained at concentrations required for effective sanitizing of food contact surfaces (e.g. 200 ppm quats or as per manufacturer).

401 - Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Produce area hand washing station access blocked by shopping cart. No paper towels available at dispenser.
Corrective Action(s): Shopping cart removed. Paper towels supplied. Ensure that at all times, hand washing stations are easily accessible and supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid hand soap, and single use paper towels to facilitate proper hand washing.

Comments

Routine inspection conducted:
- Coolers at 4 degrees C or less.
- Freezers satisfactory.
- Stock rotation generally appears to be in use, with one exception noted (discussed with management).
- Hand sink in wine area supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid hand soap, and single use paper towels. Note: No wine sampling at this time.
- High temperature dishwashers (produce, wine) measured at least 71 degrees C at the utensil surface.
- Quaternary ammonium compounds (quats) sanitizer available from dispensers at 200 ppm.
- Random sample of canned goods checked for damage--no damaged product observed at time of inspection.
- Random sample of nutritional supplements audited--product within expiry.
- Random sample of infant / baby formula audited--product within expiry.
- Designated holders in place for bulk bin scoops. It was stated that scoops are washed and sanitized daily, and bulk bins are done every other day in sections.
- No signs of pest activity observed at time of inspection. Pest control operator services store on monthly basis. Most recent report reviewed at time of inspection.
Note: Some cleaning / reorganization needed for back produce area and back dry storage. Discussed with management at time of inspection.
Note: Work orders placed for store equipment and maintenance (e.g. additional sink plugs ordered, light fixture maintenance).
