305 - Conditions observed that may allow entrance/harbouring/breeding of pests [s. 26(b),(c)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): The front door is propped open and pests can enter.
Corrective Action(s): Immediately close the front door and keep it closed at all times. If you would like to prop the door open, you MUST install a screen door on it. During the inspection, staff closed the door.
Violation Score: 3

311 - Premises not maintained as per approved plans [s. 6(1)(b)]
Observation: 1) The paint on the floor has worn away and raw cement is exposed. Raw cement will absorb food and liquid, and is difficult to clean as it is not smooth. This will attract pests.
2) The large, floor, propane burners do NOT have an exhaust canopy over them to remove steam, heat, and odors. This may be agains Building and Fire Codes/Bylaws.
Corrective Action(s): 1) Reseal/repaint the floors in the premises. Recommend using an epoxy paint as it is more durable and easily cleanable. Use a paint that is light colored so it is easy to see when the floor is dirty.
**Correction date: Sept. 1/23**
2) Have a Building Inspector and Fire Inspector determine if a exhaust canopy is required to be installed over the gars burners to remove steam, heat, and odors. Forward their report to our office for review.
**Correction date: Apr. 1/23**
