Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Did not detect any sanitizer in container with bleach/water in the back kitchen area.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure sanitizer solution is made fresh daily and changed as needed throughout the day to maintain minimum required concentrations (ie. 100ppm).

401 - Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): No paper towel available at two compartment sink hand wash station. This is the only hand washing facitilites available for the kitchen/back food preparation area.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure all hand wash stations are fully equipped with soap, paper towel (in dispenser), hot and cold running water at all times.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Noted reusable wiping cloths stored in containers of food (ie. spring roll and kale)
Corrective Action(s): Do not store wiping cloths. Wiping cloths are not sanitary and can contaminate the food with bacteria.

Observation: Noted both back door and screen door to premises open.
Corrective Action(s): If back door is kept open, ensure screen door is in place to prevent the entry of pests.

Observation: Noted racks in upright sliding two door cooler unit and under counter prep cooler unit rusting and wearing away.
Corrective Action(s): Clean the racks and paint/replace them so that they are smooth and washable.

Comments

All hand wash station at front drink service area and washroom fully equipped with soap, paper towel, hot and cold running water. See violation code 401 re: paper towel at the two compartment sink.
All coolers 4⁰C or less (drink cooler, prep cooler, sliding two door cooler...etc)
Freezers x 2 both less than -18C
Hot holding of rice in rice cooker, peanut sauce in hot holding unit and pots of curries on the stove all higher than 60C
No potentially hazardous foods were stored at room temperature at time of inspection.
Sanitizer with cloths submerged front drink making area 100ppm. See violation code 302 re: sanitizer in back kitchen
General sanitation satisfactory. See violation code 307 re: worn away/rusting racks in cooler units.
No obvious sign of pest infestation noted at time of inspection. See violation code 305 re: open back door.
Ice machine appeared clean with scoop for ice stored outside of the ice in a separate container.
High temperature dish washer achieved 71⁰C (with thermolabel).
All stored foods appeared protected (ie. stored off the ground, covered, lights in food preparation areas had covers..etc). See violation code 209 re: storing of reusable cloths in foods.
Washroom door opening into the back area had self closing hinge installed on it.
