Report of Findings
Licensing received a complaint on July 21, 2023, regarding Physical Facility, Equipment and Furnishings; Licensing; and Policies and Procedures.

The following details were provided:
- Unsafe or unclean environment
- Facility gate is left open and accessible to children
- Children playing on unsafe equipment
- Licensee limiting the indoor space that children are accessing
- Facility doesn’t have sufficient emergency supplies

All areas of the complaint were fully investigated. Evidence was obtained through interviews and observations. Licensing determined the following contraventions:
- Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) Section 10(1) Licensing
- Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) Section 13(1) Physical Facility, Equipment and Furnishings
- Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) Section 13(3)(a) Physical Facility, Equipment and Furnishings

11030 - CCLR s.13(3)(a)A licensee must ensure that, on the premise of the community care facility or in any vehicle used by employees to transport children, (a) no one engages in restricted consumption (tobacco/cannabis) while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation: Licensing determined an individual on the premise engaged in restricted consumption while children were in care.
