Routine inspection conducted. Facility is generally well maintained and operated. Facility creates only carbonated beverages, pre-packaged concentrated syrups are dispensed directly into mixing machines in processing area.
The following observations were made at time of inspection:
- Hand wash stations in restrooms, lab room, warehouse area, and janitorial room / washroom stocked with hot/cold running water, liquid soap, and single-use paper towels
- Chemicals stored securely in enclosed room. Biocide-P, a chlorine-based sanitizer, is used as main disinfectant for utensils, jugs, and all large mixing vats in processing room
- Large mixing vats are sanitized after each use. Afterwards, sanitizer solution is drained and dispensed into floor drain
- 2-compartment sink present with Biocide-P at approximately 100 ppm chlorine residual
- No evidence of significant recent pest activity at time of inspection; however, there were some fruit flies accumulating in lab room. Consult with your pest control company on control measures for the fruit flies, including use of fly traps. Remove any syrupy residual from the lab room after each use
- Chest freezers for long-term storage of syrups at approximately -18C
- Quaternary ammonium compound (quats), is still used for cleaning the floors and drains
- Concentrated pre-mix carbonated beverage canisters are well organized and sealed
- Premise is well-lit, light tubes are protected by plastic sheath
No concerns at this time. Please contact the health inspector if you have any questions or intend to further expand the facility. |
