Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DoLSoP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

Observed Violations

No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated January 17, 2023 there were 14 children, 2 staff and 3 supporting staff present. At this inspection no contraventions were identified. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided. The following education/recommendations were provided: · Promoting Active Play in the program · A conversation was had regarding the Emergency preparedness drill with the emergency supplies provided by the facility. · A conversation was had regarding the annual review of the care plans for children who require extra support. · A conversation was had regarding the expiration date on medication and it's administration by staff.
