304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)] Observation: In one of the back corners, evidence of rodent activity observed (rodent droppings). Manager was notified and he stated that he will let Pest Control Company know. Corrective Action(s): Please ensure that facility is kept free of pest. - Remove the rodent droppings and disinfect the area with 1 part bleach to 9 part water solution. Use proper PPE during cleaning. - Discuss the issue with your pest control company to implement appropriate control measures. - Keep potential entry points such as doors, receiving doors closed. - Regularly monitor for any new rodent activity. Routine inspection conducted. Findings: - Facility is very well maintained and organized. - Coolers including walk in cooler recorded below 4C. - Walk in freezer and chest freezers recorded below -18C. - Handwash sink in the back had adequate supply of hot and cold running water, liquid soap and single use paper towels.. - Food was stored at least 6 inches off the floor. - Pest Control Company conducts routine checks.
