Permit to operate was present at the counter across from the cash register.
Both handsinks in the food service establishment and handsink in the staff washroom were supplied with liquid soap, hot and cold running water, and paper towels.
Walk-in-cooler was at 1.2 degree C (4 degrees C or less).
Pizza cooler was between -1.2 and -1.3 degrees C on the bottom portion.
Pizza toppings in the top inserts had an internal temperature at or below 4 degrees C.
200 ppm QUATS sanitizer was available in a spray bottle.
No signs of recent pest activity were evident at the time of inspection.
It was discussed that in-use utensils (pizza tongs and slicers) should be washed, rinsed, sanitized, and air dried every 4 hours between use, whenever contamination is possible, and after final operation.
Owner/Operator had taken the FOODSAFE Level 1 refresher course.

Please maintain documentation (ingredients list and nutrient facts table) for the canola oil on-site. The canola oil on-site lacked the nutrient facts table on it at the time of inspection; Owner/Operator stated that they would request this information for this specific oil from the head office. Oil must meet a 2% or less trans fat restriction of total fat content.
Food exempt from the regulation includes:
  • Pre-packaged food with a Nutrition Facts table sold directly to the consumer without alteration
