Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Five prepackaged boxes of dry goods were displayed for sale (pumpkin seeds, roasted seeds, peaches etc.). Operator informed that these boxes were used as display for customers as samples and they will ship the whole bags of dry goods if customers are interested. Repeat.
Corrective Action(s): Repacking of food is considered food handling and not allowed in this premises. Discussed that premises must be upgraded to allow for proper repackaging. Please contact the undersigned to obtain Health Approval before making any changes. Directed operator to remove the prepackaged food.

Baklava and coconut pastry have invoice available (April 2019)
Trays are taken back to Nasim (pastry supplier) for warewashing; operator only washes and sanitizes the tongs
Handsink in washroom: soap, paper towel, hot & cold running water available
Two compartment sinks is operational, has bleach and detergent
*no garbage can, please replace
100ppm bleach sanitizer available in spray bottle
Ice cream freezers X2: -18 to -25C
Pop coolers: 5C
Standup cooler (sandwich/dairy): 3C
Reach in freezers X2: -18 to -22C
New fridge added by the cashier for whole fruits and vegetables (6C)
-> do not store potentially hazardous food in this display case as temperature cannot reach 4C. In the future, Health Approval is required before making structural change including adding or removing equipment.
No apparent signs of pest noted at time of inspection

***Note: sign written "Homemade" along with Iranian writing was posted on the display case of baklava. Upon inquiry, operator admitted that her friend used to provide a tray of cookies made from home to sell in the store. Discussed that this practice is NOT allowed. All food must be of an approved source and home kitchens are not inspected and thus not an approved source. If her friend would like to sell cookies to the public, please inquire the undersigned for proper procedure.
