Equipment/facilities/hot & cold water for sanitary maintenance not adequate [s. 17(3); s. 4(1)(f)]
Observation: Hot running water was not available at the 2-compartment sink at the time of inspection.
Correction: District Market Manager from Circle K contacted a construction company to assess the underlying cause for lack of hot water at the food premises and to make the necessary repairs. Do not sell or serve any cooked or hot food since there is currently no hot water accessible to properly wash, rinse, and sanitize preparation utensils or to wash hands properly. Ensure the necessary repairs are made to enable access to hot running water at the 2-compartment sink and contact the district Environmental Health Officer for a follow up inspection.

Observation: Handsink next to the oven, handsink near the coffee machines, and handsink in the staff washroom lacked hot running water.
Correction: Do not sell or serve any cooked or hot food since there is no hot running water to wash hands properly or conduct proper ware-washing of food contact surfaces. Make the necessary repairs to enable access to hot running water at each handsink and 2-compartment sink and contact the district Environmental Health Officer for a follow up inspection. The food premises is required to have hot water accessible during all hours of operation.

Follow up inspection:
-Operator contacted district Environmental Health Officer for a follow up inspection once the repairs were made to enable access to hot running water on-site. Operator informed that the construction company involved in the renovations, plumbing company, and electrician conducted a site assessment this morning.
-Hot running water was accessible at all three handsinks (temperatures measured between 45 to 46 degrees C) at the time of inspection.
-Hot running water was accessible at the 2-compartment sink (temperature measured at approximately 46 degrees C). Drain plugs were available.
-Operator had valid FOODSAFE Level 1 equivalent course training (SafeCheck Advanced Food Safety - Canadian Food Safety Group certificate; expiration date: January 19, 2026).
Health approval was granted from Fraser Health to operate the food service establishment and sell cooked and hot-held food.
Signature on this report is not required due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
