Note: There are no deli/bakery/meat/seafood departments that process food items on site for immediate consumption. Only preparation done on site is cutting/trimming whole vegetables in the prep area in the back of the store. All food items are prepackaged or whole vegetables/fruits.
- General sanitation is good.
- All handwashing stations stocked with hot/cold running water, soap, and paper towels
- All coolers (display, walk in, upright) < or = 4C
- All freezers (display, walk in, upright) < or = -18C
- No hotholding units.
- Temperatures are monitored electronically and by staff.
- Temperature log is maintained and kept up to date.
- Two compartment sink available for manual dishwashing of utensils (i.e. knives, cutting boards). Quat sanitizer available in spray bottles and designated red bucket at 200 ppm.
- No signs of pest activity. Ecolab is hired as their pest control company and inspects the facility monthly. Pest control report kept on site and available for review.
- Bulk food items are dispensed using scoops stored outside the dispenser. The scoop handles are not touching the food items.
- Random food items (i.e. baby formula, dairy products, meats) checked for expiration dates, condition of packaging, and any signs of deterioration. All in good condition.
- Vinyl gloves used for vegetable preparation.
- Designated bin (labeled) for damaged food items available (inside walk in cooler, outside in the back storage area). Discarded once recorded.
