Summary of Inspection
At the inspection dated February 2, 2021 there were eight children and two staff present. At this inspection the above noted contraventions were identified. The licensee is required to submit a written response to the Licensing Officer (LO) for review. As part of this routine inspection a facility risk assessment tool is completed and a copy is provided to the licensee. A copy of this inspection report and the facility risk assessment tool were sent to the licensee by email today.
The following education/recommendations were provided:
Label the spray bottle of sanitizing solution with the contents.
The wooden deck in the backyard is starting to show signs of wear and tear. The LO recommends that the licensee make a plan to refinish the deck during the spring or summer this year. It is an expectation that children will have reasonable access to a home like environment including the kitchen. The licensee is not using the kitchen at this time. The LO discussed children eating in the kitchen and the licensee stated she will start to do this.
Visit the CCFL website at www.fraserhealth.ca/childcare for additional resources and links to the Legislation (CCALA and CCLR).
