HAZARD RATING FOR YOUR FACILITY: Low (≤15) Total Score = 6
Critical Hazards: There are no critical hazards.
Non-Critical Hazards: Total Number: 2
304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
Observation:
Observed old mice droppings along walls and between pallets, and a dead mouse found in a snap trap at a back door.
Corrective Action(s):
Move pallets away from walls and clean up all mice droppings, and remove the dead mouse. Increase the frequency at which the floor along walls and between pallets are cleaned. This will help determine the severity of the mouse problem and possible entry points. Develop and implement a routine cleaning schedule for the floor and racking systems.
**Correction date: Today**
Violation Score: 3

305 - Conditions observed that may allow entrance/harbouring/breeding of pests [s. 26(b),(c)]
Observation:
The door, where the dead mouse was caught, does not fit snuggly to the door frame. There is an open space at the base of the door and along the door frame.

Corrective Action(s):
Install a new door guard or door sweep to the base of the door, and repair the door so that it fits correctly to the door frame to exclude pests.
**Correction date: Apr. 3/18**
Violation Score: 3

Follow Up to "Critical" Violations Noted on Previous Inspections (if applicable): No corrections entered
Comments

A routine inspection was conducted, the following observations were made:
- Cooler was 2C; thermometers present; temperature recorded daily; and electronically monitored with a warning system.
- General sanitation is good. Improvement needed in routinely cleaning the metal racks and the floor beneath pallets.
- Foods stored 6" off the floor on pallets or racks.
- No expired foods found.
- Damaged products are discarded. All damaged products/packaging shall be discarded immediately to prevent the attraction of pests.
- Abell Pest Company services the facility twice a month. Mechanical traps present (catch all, glueboards, snap traps) in facility. Follow all recommendation made by your pest technician. Develop a regular cleaning schedule for the floors and racks to aid in eliminating pests, and pest proof the facility (block all openings that are 1/4" or bigger in walls, around pipes, around doors, etc.) to prevent the entry of pests.
