Observation:
Sink plugs not available for manual warewashing at the time of inspection. Manager brought one sink plug from elsewhere in the store but this plug was not fitted for the 3-compartment sink.
Corrective Action(s):
Ensure proper fitted sink plugs are available for the 3-compartment sink. This is required for proper manual warewashing using the wash, rinse, sanitize and air dry method. To be corrected today.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION):
Back hand sink not working for proper hand washing as water was turned off from below.
Corrective Action(s):
Use 3-compartment sink or prep sink as the hand washing station until the hand sink is repaired (see violation code 308). Ensure to have liquid soap, paper towels and hot/cold water readily available for proper hand washing.

Observation:
Cleaning required for area behind slurpee machines as there is accumulation of bottles and debris.
Corrective Action(s):
Clean area behind slurpee machines.

308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
Observation:
Back hand sink (in kitchen) observed to be turned off. Manager was not aware that sink was turned off or that it had a problem. Staff member informed she had turned off the hand sink from the bottom because the water was not draining. Once water was turned on from the bottom, the knobs of the faucet were not functioning either.
Corrective Action(s):
Repair hand sink so the knobs function properly, the water drains into the sink easily, and both hot and cold water is provided. To be corrected by March 1, 2022.

- Front hand washing station fully equipped with liquid soap, paper towels and hot/cold running water.
- All temperatures met health requirements:
Coolers maintained at or below 4 degrees Celsius (40 degrees Fahrenheit).
Freezers maintained below -18 degrees Celsius (0 degrees Fahrenheit).
Hot holding maintained above 60 degrees Celsius (140 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Thermometers available in all cold and hot holding units.
- QUAT sanitizer at dispenser and in spray bottles = 200 ppm.
- General food storage practices satisfactory:
Foods covered and protected from contamination.
Foods stored at least 15cm (6 inches) off the floor.
All food items organized on display shelves.
- No signs of pest activity at the time of inspection.
- FOODSAFE Level 1, or it's equivalent, verified at the time of inspection for all staff.
