Introduction

An unscheduled follow-up inspection was conducted to ensure items in contravention at the last routine inspection have been addressed. A written response was received from the Licensee on March 14, 2019 outlining that items had been addressed.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
STAFFING: 12040 - CCLR s.19(1)(a) - A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (a) a criminal record check for the person.
Observation: It was noted that 2 staff CRC's were unavailble at the previous inspection. Of the two CRC's that were required, one has been obtained, however, the other remains outstanding
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure a system is in place to obtain all required documentation which includes criminal record check clearance

Comments

At the inspection dated May 9, 2019 there were 10 children and 2 staff present. At this inspection the above noted contravention was identified. The manager is asked to provide a written response. Children were observed transitioning in preparation to visit an off-site playground
