Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Observed ham and cheese croissant displayed for sale at room temperature for prolonged period of time.
Corrective Action(s): Required operator to remove the noted items from the display and discard. Operator must store all potentially hazardous foods either at 4 C or lower/60 C or higher at all times

304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
Observation: Observed large clusters of fruit flies and ants in the back kitchen area.
1. Ants were found in the garbage room near the recycling bin. They seem to travel in/out of a small gap in the wall.
2. Numerous groups of fruit flies in large numbers found around dishwashing pit and drains, especially many in and around dirty rag bag. Operator advised that the dirty towels are taken away by third party company for washing.
*Pest management company in contract; frequent visits are made.
Corrective Action(s): Required operator to do following:
1. Seal all holes and clean the garbage room to ensure i) all entrance points are blocked and ii) food sources are eliminated
2. Ensure that dirty rags are kept in a tightly sealed container so that flies cannot access and harbour the area as nest.
3. Once found, email last 2 months pest report to the health inspector
