Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act, Child Care Licensing Regulationand the applicable Director of Licensing Standards of Practice. All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance except for the gym as the elementary school is using it for multicultural day. Today's attendance did not necessitate the use of the gym as the attendance was below 15.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated, February 28, 2019 there were 12 children and 2 staff present. At this inspection no violations were identified therefore there is no action required by the Licensee.
As part of this routine inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.

Education and recommendations:
continuous active supervision
notification of reportable incidents
lead in drinking water
mandatory inspections to assess compliance for temporary placements/retentions and exemptions
promotion of active play.
