Introduction

An unscheduled inspection was conducted on October 18, 2022 to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All care categories were reviewed for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19080 - CCLR s.57(2)(b) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (b) date of enrolment in the community care facility.
Observation: Upon inspection, 1 children's file did not have an enrollment date recorded.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure the children's files are complete.

RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19250 - CCLR s.58(2)(a) - The licensee must (a) develop the care plan in consultation with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.
Observation: Care plan not developed in consultation with the parent or any person requested by the parent.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure care plans are developed in consultation with the parent.

Comments

At the inspection dated October 18, 2022 there was 1 child and 1 staff present. At this inspection the above noted contraventions were identified. The Licensee will provide a written response to Licensing.Licensing will review the response. As part of this Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment was completed and a copy was provided.

Licensing conducted a walk-through of the entire facility.
