Observation: 1) The domestic exhaust hood filters have accumulated food and dust on it. The exhaust hood is not able to remove condensation or odors adequately.
2) The exterior surfaces of the stove, microwave, toaster oven, and rice cooker has accumulated food debris on it. Pests will be attracted to these areas.
3) The interior surfaces of coolers have spilt food on the walls and shelves.
Corrective Action(s): 1) Replace the exhaust hood with new filters, and wash all surfaces with a degreaser to remove the food debris.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): There is a plastic sheet that is installed along the bottom of the wall, by the front hand sink. There is accumulated food debris on the sheet, and the sheet is replaced every 2-3 days. This will attract pests.
Corrective Action(s): The plastic sheet must be thrown away at the end of the night, and a new sheet installed in the morning. If you do not want to replace the sheet every day, then discontinue using the plastic sheet and wash the walls daily.

312 - Items not required for food premises operation being stored on the premises [s. 18]
Observation: There are a large number of food containers and cardboard boxes, and there are personal items present in the premises. This is creating clutter where pests can harbor and breed, and it is difficult to clean.
Corrective Action(s): Remove all personal items that do not relate to the daily operation of the business. Recycle items more frequently (twice a week) to decrease the clutter.

Observation: Coolers and freezers missing thermometers inside the units. Staff are unable to monitor and determine if the coolers (4C) and freezers (-18C) are operating at the correct temperatures.
Corrective Action(s): Immediately purchase a thermometer for each cooler and freezer unit, and place the thermometer inside the unit.
