Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1 container of cooked cabbage measured at approximately 36C in the hot holding unit for a few minutes according to the operator
Corrective Action(s): Keep hot potentially hazardous foods like cooked and chopped vegetables above 60C. Operator moved the unit into the fridge during inspection.

303 - Equipment/facilities/hot & cold water for sanitary maintenance not adequate [s. 17(3); s. 4(1)(f)]
Observation: Hot running water is not available. Photos were taken. 2 hot water taps in the kitchen are not able to be moved as they leak when they are turned on. The only movable hot water tap located on the right side of the 3 compartment sink measured approximately 12C. Operator states the hot water tank has malfunctioned due to a electrical issue and has made an emergency call to the mall for support that will arrive in approximately 1 hour.
Corrective Action(s): 2 Fraser health bulletins and section 2.11 of the food code was provided. 3 compartment sink chart was posted on the wall above the 3 compartment sink and the requirement of 45C cannot be achieved at this food premises.

Observation: No hot running water available. Designated handwashing sink in the back kitchen does not have a moveable hot water tap as it leaks when it is turned on. Water temperature measures approximately 8.4C
Corrective Action(s): Hand washing stations must be fully equipped according to the regulation.
