Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Cardboard was lining the floor in the walk-in cooler.
Corrective Action(s): All surfaces must be smooth, non-absorbent, and easily cleanable. cardboard was removed at the time of inspection.

Comments

-Walk-in cooler was at 4C.
-Store coolers were at or below 4C. Some of the cooler units were undergoing defrost cycle at the time of inspection.
-Freezers ranged from -15C to -21C.
-Cut melons stored in a refrigerator.
-Handwash station accessible and supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid hand soap, and single use paper towels.
-General food storage practices good at the time of inspection. Foods stored off the floor and protected from potential contamination.
-Random selection of foods were found to be in good condition and within their best before dates.
-General sanitation satisfactory at the time of inspection. Ensure foods spilled under the pallets in the walk-in cooler are properly cleaned.
-Facility serviced by a professional pest control operator every two weeks. No signs of pests noted at the time of inspection.
