- Premises maintained in sanitary condition.
- Handsink in food preparation/service area and staff/public washroom supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid soap and paper towel.
- Coolers were operating at acceptable temperatures (4C or colder):
- Retail coolers 1-3C
- Sandwich display cooler 2C
- Prep cooler 4C
- Single door reach in cooler 4C
- Double door reach in cooler 3C
- Beverage coolers 4C
- Freezers were maintaining product in a frozen state:
- Single door stainless freezer -14C
- Ice cream freezer -17C
- 2 door reach in freezer -14C
- Single door bread freezer -12C
- No hot holding occurring at time of the inspection
- Dipper well operational and in use for ice cream scoops
- High temperature dishwasher operational. Final rinse measured 75.6C at dish surface with min/max thermometer
- Bleach sanitizer solution
- No signs of pest activity noted. Ensure floor is kept clear to facilitate cleaning and monitoring for pest activity.
- Pest control contract in place. Service is arranged through Avalon Dairy.
- Operator present and has completed Foodsafe level 1.
- Gloves are being used for sandwich preparation. Ensure gloves are removed and hands washed whenever hands may become contaminated. For example, after sandwich preparation, if staff member is performing cleaning duties, gloves should be removed. Prior to resuming food handling activities, hands need to be washed.
