Code 401 noted on Routine inspection # SSZO-CK83YT of Oct-14-2022 Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)] Observation: 1. Lone handwashing station in kitchen is blocked with hookah equipment. No handsoap and paper towel are present at handwashing station. 2. Handwashing station at bar has no handsoap and paper towel. Correction: Handwashing stations must be clear of items at ALL times. Liquid handsoap and paper towel, in dispensers, must be present at ALL times.

Comments

The following items have been observed: -->Liquid handsoap and paper towel, in dispensers, are present at handwashing station in kitchen and at front bar area. -->A new microwave has been purchased to replace the one with a hole inside -->A new ice machine has been purchased to replace the rusty one The following has been discussed and agreed: 1. The corner sink in kitchen, behind the door, is confirmed a mop sink. Do not store any items inside mop sink. 2. The stove in the kitchen is for food preparation only, not for hookah preparation. The stove is used to prepare food items such as boiled egg, and spaghetti. 3. Hookah preparation shall be done at the front bar area, as indicated in the floor plan approved in May 2021. 4. If at any given time, Fraser Health observes the stove in kitchen is used for hookah preparation again, the stove in kitchen will be required to be removed. All food items requiring stove use shall be removed from menu. 5. Facility has one week to make changes and move all hookah preparation to the front. *No signature is required at this time.
